A Full-Circle Moment With the Gonzalez Family

Some families hold a piece of my heart forever, and the Gonzalez family is one of them. A few years ago, I photographed their firstborn’s with a Trussville Alabama in-home newborn session. A session full of tiny toes, swaddled cuddles, sleepy smiles. To be invited back into their home to document baby brother’s arrival was the most beautiful full-circle moment.

Walking into their home, I couldn’t help but feel a wave of gratitude. I remembered the joy of their first newborn session, and now here I was, capturing the next chapter—this time with two sweet boys filling their home with love. It’s such an honor to not just photograph babies, but to witness a family’s story unfold over the years.

An in-home session full of- Big Brother Pride & Cozy Snuggles…

The star of the day may have been baby brother, but big brother absolutely stole the show a few times. He leaned right into his new role—gentle kisses, giggles, and the most protective little snuggles. Watching him hold his baby brother brought me right back to when he was the newborn in front of my lens. That kind of “before and after” memory makes me tear up every single time.

The Gonzalez family wanted their newborn session to feel natural, cozy, and filled with love. Their home provided the perfect backdrop—warm light, soft neutral tones, and a relaxed atmosphere that made everyone comfortable. Instead of rushing out the door with a newborn, they got to slow down, cuddle up, and just be together.
